Sgt. Matthew Blake left behind a devoted girlfriend (Brienne Alexie) and five adorable children, ranging from the ages of almost 2-17 years of age. 

Many members of the family in Blue, know him as Sergeant Blake. He served on IRT, and was 2nd shift Sergeant at MSU. He was extremely dedicated and passionate about serving his position at Coyote Ridge Correctional Facility. He was a mentor, co-worker, and friend to many individuals within the CRCC family. 

He passed away on October 11, 2015, due to heart failure in his sleep, at a young age of 44.
